Orange Agoseris is the only orange-flowered Agoseris. The flower resembles the common dandelion in general form. Orange Agoseris also resembles Orange Hawkweed (Hieracium aurantiacum), an exotic alien distinguished by its multiple flowerheads per stem. Also known as "devil's paintbrush," it is an introduced species that prefers disturbed soils. "Agoseris" is Greek for "goat Chicory."
