Camas/Triteleia/Yucca family (Asparagaceae)
This is a lovely, delicate plant having six-pointed star-shaped flowers at or near ground level. The plant blooms in early spring. The petals and are all united into a long tube. The name comes from the Greek "leukos" ("white") and "crinon" ("lily").
capsule -- a type of simple, dry fruit produced by many species of flowering plants. In most cases the capsule splits apart to release seeds.
genus -- A subdivision of a botanical Family in which all members have a significant number of similar characteristics.
linear -- Long and very narrow like a blade of grass.
